John Briggs – Managing Director

With Jiffy Trucks since 1987

I joined Jiffy Trucks in 1987 at the age of 20, originally to drive a demonstrator sandwich van for just two weeks as holiday cover. When that ended, the former owner asked if I’d like to stay on and work on the shop floor. I casually said I’d stick around until something better came along… and nearly 40 years later, here we are.

Over the years, I’ve worked in just about every department. Eventually, when it became clear I wasn’t particularly good at any of them, the only logical decision was to make me Managing Director — a role I’ve held since 2009.

I’ve seen the company grow from very humble beginnings in a grotty old shed to a modern manufacturing site that we’re proud to call our own, especially since taking the company into employee ownership in 2016. Today, I’m lucky to be surrounded by a fantastic team, and together we aim to deliver the best service in the industry and build the best product we possibly can.

Chris Cole – Customer Service Manager + Director

Chris joined us in 2007, starting out looking after our vehicles mechanically and delivering new and used trucks all over the UK — basically making sure things ran smoothly and occasionally trying to find his way on the M25 without GPS. It soon became clear that Chris wasn’t just good with trucks; he’s a people person who knows our customers inside out.

When the Customer Service role came up, he was the obvious choice. Chris became a director in 2019 and now runs the office side of “after sales,” coordinating finance, registering vehicles, keeping everything running smoothly, and dealing with any bumps in the road — including accidents and insurance claims. If you need help, Chris is your man… and possibly your new favorite human too.

Jon Nash _ Sales Manager

Jon joined us in 2021 during the Covid years — a brave time to start a new job, and an even braver time to join us. He brings a wealth of knowledge about the mobile catering industry, having previously run his own fleet of sandwich vans (so he knows his paninis from his profits). Jon splits his time between our Bradford office and his home in Cambridge, and is constantly travelling up and down the UK visiting customers — we’re not entirely sure where he is on any given day, but he’s always contactable by phone.  Michelle Bargout – Accounts Manager

Michelle joined us in July 2025 and looks after our accounts and finance — basically keeping our numbers (and the rest of us) under control. She brings with her a wealth of experience from running her own business for many years, so she’s seen it all. Michelle arrives every morning with a big smile on her face, armed with spreadsheets, common sense, and the authority to keep us all in line. We’re not sure how we managed before her — or how we’ll get away with anything now.
